A Case of Granulocytic Sarcoma of the Stomach

Abstract
|
|
|
Granulocytic sarcomas are localized myeloblastic cell tumors and have been described
for many years in the literature as a rare manifestation of granulocytic leukemia. These
tumors may involve anywhere in the body and give rise to a variety of sign and
symptoms. There are serveral case reports of granulocytic sarcoma in Korea which have
involved the lymphnode, orbit, vagina, cervix, breast, and mediastinum, but there is no
case involved the stomach.
We have experienced a case of granulocytic sarcoma presenting a peptic ulcer as an
initial clinical manifestating feature of chronic granulocytic leukemia in a 19 year-old
male patient.
